It has no effect on bacteria or other genera of fungi. Susceptibilitv Testing For specific information regarding susceptibility test interpretive criteria and associated test methods and quality control standards recognized by FDA for this drug, please see: https://www.fda.gov/STIC. Pharmacokinetics - Following oral administration, griseofulvin is deposited in the keratin precursor cells and has a greater affinity for diseased tissue.

Following administration (165 mg/1 Tablet), Ultramicrosize Griseofulvin achieves Systemic oral bioavailability of roughly 64%–76% following first-pass transit bioavailability and initial pharmacodynamic onset within 1–2 hrs (peak cmax) for ultramicrosize griseofulvin onset, governed by a Biphasic clearance with 5–14 hr terminal t½ under Ultramicrosize Griseofulvin maintenance terminal half-life through hepatic enzymatic processing and renal clearance proportional to creatinine clearance (ultramicrosize griseofulvin).

Before initiating Ultramicrosize Griseofulvin at 165 mg/1 Tablet, clinical safety checklists rule out contraindications two cases of conjoined twins have been reported since 1977 in patients taking griseofulvin during the first trimester of pregnancy.; griseofulvin should not be prescribed to pregnant patients.; if the patient becomes pregnant while taking this drug, the patient should be apprised of the potential hazard to the fetus.. Logged tolerability patterns center on headache (7.8% of reports), nausea (7.7% of reports), application-site irritation (5.7% of reports).

Key Monitored Interactions:
Duplicate Tubulin Inhibiting Agent Agents Moderate

Avoid overlapping tubulin inhibiting agent prescriptions alongside Ultramicrosize Griseofulvin to prevent cumulative receptor toxicity.

Gastric pH-Altering Agents (PPIs & H2 Blockers) Minor
